"Glimpse of Time" has been released.
Music notes:
- From the early stages of writing “Glimpse of Time”, I knew it would feature piano and acoustic guitar. While I enjoy performing this song with piano & vocals only when playing out, I miss the expressiveness of the acoustic guitar present in the recording.
- Harmonies can add such depth to a song and, in this case, I recorded a number of vocal takes including a stripped down one that contained no harmonies. The final version is intended to strike the right balance of harmonies without overwhelming the song's simple nature.
- The lyrics were written over the course of a day that I spent wandering around Portland Maine. The bookstore referenced is Sherman's on Exchange Street and anyone who has visited Old Port will be familiar with the cobblestone streets that line the district.
