Battle Road

“Battle Road” has been released.

Song notes:

  • The title of this song was inspired by the road traveled by British troops between Lexington and Concord during the Battles of Lexington and Concord. A good portion of the original route sits within Minute Man National Park and today is a beautiful place for exploring, exercising or simply enjoying the outdoors.
  • “Battle Road” is the only song on the Wells III album that was written in my younger days. I've really appreciated coming back to it after all this time and the words resonate with me now more than ever.
  • This song is led by the guitar instead of piano/keyboards. It has just always felt more to me like a guitar song than anything else. The piano can still be heard in the background and the solo features an organ.
