After a long winter of playing piano, writing and recording songs, I am excited to release the first song off my new album, "Wells II".
Here are a few notables about “40 Miles To Go”:
- This song was conceived on moving day while driving to my new home base of Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
- The guitar was a last minite addition to this song and, when combined with the organ, adds a whole new level of energy.
- Yes Portsmouth is a city, not a town, but in this case “town” fit better lyrically. And whatever you call it, Portsmouth is an amazing community with a vibrant music scene. The Music Hall Lounge and Jimmy's are two of my favroite spots for music but there are plenty of other great ones to check out in the Portsmouth and greater Seacoast area.
Special Note: The artwork for this album was created by Devin Wells. His contribution is just one example of how incredibly generous and supportive my kids (Delaney, Logan and Devin) have been of my music. I am so lucky and grateful to have them in my life. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
