Last weekend, I attended a songwriting workshop led by Heather Maloney, Kimaya Diggs, and Don Mitchell (Darlingside) in Northampton, MA. The three of them are so generous, gifted, and such wonderful teachers. I encourage you to seek their music out and -better yet- go see them live.
In addition, I got to meet and connect with a special group of people and talented songwriters. There is an incredible energy that comes from being surrounded by people who are all deep in the process of creation. It’s nourishing, and it stays with you long after the final note.
Capturing the Moment
While there, we had the opportunity to perform at The Parlor Room. It’s a space with a storied musical history, and it felt like the right environment to capture a full, live version of “Glimpse Of Time.”

As I’ve shared before, I’m still in the process of honing these vocal and piano parts from a performance standpoint. You’ll hear that in this recording—the slight shifts in tempo and the natural "breath" of a live take.
I’m learning that these human elements aren't hurdles to get over; they are the point. Growth is a process, and sharing these "live in the room" moments is a way to share that journey.
What’s Next
This feels like the perfect bridge into a big weekend. This Sunday morning, March 29th, I have the opportunity to perform at the Northampton Backporch Festival with some of my workshop friends. It will be held at The Parlor Room and, if you’re in the area, please stop by. I'll be performing a brand new song that I had the chance to workshop last weekend.
Thank you so much for following along.
